On Time

“I AM LATE, BUT I AM ON TIME”, says God Almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

Some say, “My time of delivery is past due”.  I am late, but I am on time

Some say, “I have been in transition for too long, I cannot go on.”  I am late, but I am on time.

Some say, “I am pushing, but cannot give birth.”  I am late, but I am on time.

Some say, “What You said has not come forth.”  I am late, but I am on time.

Some cry out, “Where are You, the God of my salvation!” I am late, but I am on time.

To those clinging to My Word(s), trusting in My love and faithfulness alone, I am late, but I am on time.

To those who have released their reasoning and understanding of events and circumstances surrounding them, letting go of all but Me, keeping their eyes on ME, their ears open to My voice and their hearts turned toward Me alone, I am late, but I am on time.

Abraham and Sarah produced the impossible, a seed that would multiply into a nation.  I was late, but I was on time.

Elizabeth, though impossible, conceived giving birth to John.  I was late, but I was on time.

Mary came to me saying “If you had been here, Lazarus would not have died.” I was late, but I was on time.

Her husband was old.  The Shunammite woman was not able to conceive.  I was late, but I was on time.  She conceived and they did have a child in their old age.  As an adolescent he died.  She hastily traveled a day’s journey to Elijah, who returned with her, raising him from the dead.  It was over, it was late, it was impossible, yet exactly on time… My time.

Set aside all you see in your circumstances, and look at Me.  Me alone.  Eyes on Me.  Ears listening to My voice alone.  Heart turned fully towards Me.  I am late, but I am on time.
